Spring and Fall 2009 TPW Energy Collaborative Learning Sessions

TPW Energy Collaborative Members meet twice a year for learning sessions to discuss new work, hear updates on past and ongoing projects, learn about new initiatives in the field of energy and development, and meet in person. On February 23 and 24 2009, the group met in New York City to discuss US energy policy and new highlights with the 2009 stimulus package; world energy issues and developing countries; updates on the Electricity Governance Initiative; carbon trading in the US; and energy issues in India.
The group next met October 13, 2009 again in New York City to discuss work in India, Honduras, lighting, and to review past grants.

US Energy Policy: Overview of US energy mix and updates on specific technologies (focusing on renewable energy) and state-wide efforts in renewable energy; potential effects of the 2009 Stimulus Bill on renewable energy and energy efficiency in the US.
