The Energy for Economic Vitality (EEV) project addressed the need for significant growth in private enterprise and commercial investment aimed to meet the demand of India's rural and poor communities for clean and modern energy services through researching and analyzing business and policy models.
World Resources Institute: Electricity Governance Initiative (EGI) This grant supported the creation of a new dialogue between electricity sector actors and civil society around improving governance in the sector—focusing on Thailand, India, Indonesia and the Philippines.
Fundación Solar worked with the government of Guatemala to prepare a regulatory framework for distributed generation to allow electric generation projects to be connected to distribution lines, as well as main transmission systems. The goal of the project was to open the market for renewable energy projects at the end of distribution lines.

Winrock International Winrock International brought cost-effective and clean cooking and lighting to rural homes in Nicaragua, using a proven technology integrating a Thermo-Electric Generator (TEG) into a fuel-efficient, low-emissions wood stove (ICS); the product is called the Firefly-Ecostove.
