Border Green Energy Team­ (BGET)

This grant increased the sustainable deployment of solar home systems in low-income rural Thai communities.  It also supported the development of renewable energy micro-enterprises among refugees and fostered technical capacity for rural development.

blueEnergy worked to modify the national electrification policy framework of the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Nicaragua, for the ministry to domestically recognize small-scale wind turbines as viable solutions for rural and semi-urban electrification.

Fundación Solar

Fundación Solar worked with the Guatemalan government (and in particular the Ministry of Energy and Mines) to implement policy supporting biofuels technology and alternative energy.  This project included research and the preparation of initial guidelines based on other biofuels policies in other similar countries, especially those from the Latin American experience.

This project supported ongoing efforts to facilitate transparency in electricity governance by advocating for fair and more environmentally sustainable outcomes in electricity privatization in Thailand, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brazil and South Africa.
