In 2008, TPW Energy Collaborative has started making grants with a country-specific focus. This year, grants were awarded to organizations in Honduras and India. We expect to continue working in these countries for the next few years.

The Honduran Association for Development (AHDESA) This grant is testing and then constructing/installing improved cooking systems for tortilla-makers in Cholutecas City, Honduras in about 147 homes (affecting 750 people).

The Honduran Association of Small Renewable Energy Producers (AHPPER)
AHPPER is working with the Honduran Government to facilitate the evaluation of renewable energy projects and improve the project approval process.

Winrock India
This project is the development of a grant making strategy "roadmap" in India for future TPW funding to facilitate innovative policy initiatives that would promote economical and accessible clean energy with associated health and other benefits to the poor, over the next 3 years.

Zamorano University This project targets the installation of a certification center for improved stoves at Zamorano University. This center will evaluate the heating efficiency, fuel, and pollution of five most commonly used improved stoves in the Yeguare Valley in Honduras.
